Potential
'Garbage City' in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, is home of the zabbaleen who pride themselves in keeping Cairo's streets clean. As the unofficial garbage collectors, the Zabbaleen live among the garbage that they collect, seperate, and ultimately recycle. To look into the eyes of Zabbaleen children you would never know they lived in poverty, or that their home town is covered with flies and rats running between the garbage piled throughout the streets. If you have the privilage to look into their eyes you will only see the joy of childhood and the hope of the future littered with their potential.
